Woodsman Lumber Inc. started in DeKalb, IL in 1992 as a wholesale hardwood lumber company.  After learning the business from his father-in-law, Steve founded Woodsman Lumber.  He brokered hickory, oak, ash, cherry, and hard maple nationwide to furniture, cabinet, and flooring companies. In 2005, he saw an opportunity to serve the local community by providing hardwood flooring to businesses and homeowners in Northern Illinois.  It wasn't long before flooring became the majority of the business.  Woodsman specializes in unfinished solid hardwood flooring but also offers prefinished and engineered woods.  Competitors have come and gone, but Woodsman's 20-year track record is a testament to the quality of work and service it provides for its customers.

Woodsman Lumber is based in Fairdale, IL and Sycamore, IL but has completed projects as far east at Chicago, as far north as Rockford, as far south as Sandwich, and as far west as Rochelle.
